About Dominica:
Dominica is located in the Caribbean Sea, with a total area of 751 km2. The country is characterized by its tropical climate and mountainous terrain with fertile plainlands. With a total population of 71,000, its capital, Santo Domingo, is the most populous of its cities. Dominica’s culture is dominated by ancient traditions mixed with Spanish heritage, as it is characterized by a mix of multinationals and cultures in most parts of the country, and English is used among them as the official language. The official currency is the East Caribbean Dollar, and the country has an open economy, with a gross domestic product of about $0.5 billion USD, and three main sectors play an important role in the country’s GDP, which are services, industry, and agriculture. Dominica is characterized by a variety of destinations and attractions, cultural and natural, and its capital Santo Domingo is a UNESCO World Heritage site in addition to many places scattered throughout the country which is visited by more than 81,511 tourists each year.
