About Mali:
Mali is located in West Africa on the borders with Guinea, Mauritania, Senegal, Niger and Algeria. It covers an area of 1,2 million km2. The country is characterized by its tropical climate and mountainous terrain with scattered savannah forests. The total population is 20 million, and its capital, Bamako, is the most populous of its cities. The culture of Mali is dominated by ancient traditions, as it is characterized by a multinational and multicultural mix with the presence of 94% of the population of Muslims, and they speak French among them as the official language. The official currency is the franc, and the country has an open economy, with a gross domestic product of about $44 billion USD. Mali is characterized by a variety of destinations, tourist attractions, cultural and natural as it has 4 UNESCO World Heritage sites in addition to many attractions spread across the country and visited by tourists from different regions of the world.
