About Timor-Leste:
East Timor is located in Southeast Asia on the borders with Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, with an area of 15,007 km2. The country is characterized by its Mediterranean climate and mountainous terrain with abyssal valleys. With a total population of 1.3 million, its capital, Dili, is the most populous of its cities. The culture of East Timor is dominated by ancient traditions mixed with Portuguese heritage, which is characterized by a mix of multinationals and cultures, and they speak Portuguese and Tetum as the official language. The official currency is the US dollar, and the country has an open economy, with a gross domestic product of about $1.9 billion.
