About Iraq:
The country of Iraq is located in the Middle East on the borders with Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Turkey and Iran, with an area of 437,072 km2. The country is characterized by its dry desert climate and mountainous terrain with plain lands. The total population is 38.4 million, and its capital, Baghdad, is the most crowded among its cities. The culture of Iraq is dominated by ancient traditions as it is characterized by a mix of multinational and multicultural with the presence of 98% of the Muslim population, and they speak Arabic as the official language. The official currency is the Iraqi dinar, and the country has an open economy, with a gross domestic product of about $178.1 billion, with both the industrial and service sectors playing an important role in the GDP. Iraq is characterized by a variety of destinations and tourist attractions, cultural and natural as it has 6 UNESCO World Heritage sites in addition to many attractions spread across the country, however, the country of Iraq is still struggling to attract tourists from outside the region as a result of the general security concern.
